Ledbury Studio has a new home
Thursday 18th April 2019 by Holly Smallbone
Ledbury Studio has a new home at 4b Ledbury Mews North, Notting Hill. We are incredibly excited about this not only because it is the start of a new journey, but because we are in one of the best locations in London.
Now, Notting Hill is filled with many fashionable restaurants, quirky bars and markets, so much so that we could ramble on for hours about things to do in the area, for that reason this is a guide to the immediate streets around our showroom - Ledbury Road, Westbourne Grove, Chepstow Rd & Needham Rd ( incidentally the location of our original Smallbone of Devizes showroom back in the late 70s) - in case you decide to spend an afternoon or even a day here.
First off, if you are planning to continue your interiors shopping, we suggest having a browse in Brissi and then head over to 81 Westbourne Grove, home to our favourite paint shop, the wonderful Craig & Rose. Or, if you decide it's a coffee you need, look no further than Two Feathers on Needham Rd, they do a great flat white.
Ledbury Road and Westbourne Grove are dotted with a multitude of lovely children's shops. Whatever your taste is, it's probably been catered for! For that international feel have a look at La Coqueta, their whole collection is 'proudly made in Spain', or for some Parisian chic, check out Bleu Comme Gris. If it's high end luxury childrenswear you're searching for, look no further than the newly opened Velveteen, its first UK store.
If you're shopping for yourself Westbourne Grove has an array of great choices, Heidi Klein, The Kooples, Pippa Small, Toast, Woodhouse, Aesop and Space NK to name a few. For some pampering head over to Chepstow rd for a manicure at Nailed where you can receive the most heavenly hand massage.
For lunch the amazing Granger & Co on Westbourne Grove is a hot spot, though at peak times there can be queues around the block, if this is the case walk on down to Andina for some Peruvian cuisine (the meatballs are a great choice!) be sure to peep through the window of Café Lounge on route to catch a site of their amazing dogs, which can normally be found having a snooze by the window. 202 is another great spot, or a little further afield we can seriously recommend the Hereford Road Restaurant, which has a brilliant menu fixe at lunchtime. If you're heading home for some lunch, pop into Daylesford where the options are endless, choose from their deli, butchers, bakery or settle into their café.
If it's a drink you're after, then the sleek and fashionable Beach Blanket Babylon is just across the road from Ledbury Mews or for something more cosy and relaxed head over to Needham rd to our favourite pub The Cock & Bottle.
Ledbury Studio is open from Thursday 4th April.
