The London Townhouse kitchen
This Stainless Steel kitchen was designed for a beautiful period townhouse in the heart of London. Our clients wanted a stylish and contemporary kitchen which would sit sympathetically within the original architectural features of this beautiful building. As it is a family kitchen , it needed to be practical as well as stylish. The fascias are all specially treated to avoid fingerprints and grease marks and the sides and backs of each door and drawer front are 25mm thick stainless steel with matching stainless steel handles designed to seamlessly form part of the doors and drawers. Open shelves were fabricated from solid stainless steel and fixed directly into the walls after which the walls were plastered and decorated to create a minimal floating aesthetic, and the look completed with 80mm thick Swedish Green marble worktops, incorporating a large sink of the same material.
The final result is a space that is really unique, a symbiosis of the original listed building painstakingly restored to its original glory, combined with this very stylish take on a kitchen, accommodating both fitted and freestanding pieces, and both visible and hidden storage solutions.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this project features amateur photography.
