The Poole Harbour Kitchen
When our clients visited our Notting Hill studio, they fell in love with the eclectic mix of materials on offer in the showroom, giving them the chance to really personalise their kitchen in a way they hadn’t seen elsewhere. Having undergone extensive building works to create a light filled open plan kitchen, they wanted the kitchen to have a contemporary aesthetic with a wow factor. As you enter the kitchen the room is framed with a special screen made from black stained oak and aged brass , and more drama is added with the striking central island and overhead aged brass hanging rack. Beautiful verdigris copper panels surrounded by black stained oak adorn one side of the island with black stained oak cupboards surrounded by aged brass on the other side. On the two sink runs, oak cupboards which have been painted white ,provide a neutral contrast but coordinate with the other cupboards in the kitchen with their patinated brass surrounds and kickplates. In addition the mirrored splashback embellished with aged copper further echoes the metallic details. On the other side of the kitchen, tall cupboards incorporating a large larder for food storage, ovens and fridge are built into the wall and illuminated with a LED lighting surround. The cupboard fronts are made from a liquid metal with a specialist shagreen finish with aged brass handles to complete the look. Finally pale quartz worktops and a light poured concrete floor complete the space in a stylish and contemporary way, and act as a serene backdrop to the vibrancy of the stunning metallic finishes.
