Charlie Smallbone was commissioned to design a new kitchen to be displayed inside a stunning Winter Garden building display at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May 2018. Following a chance meeting last year between Charlie and Paul O'Leary, Design Director of deVOL kitchens, the pair embarked on a design collaboration resulting in the creation of the The Metallics Collection.

The display was built to celebrate the idea of outdoor living, using materials with integrity in an original and creative design. The kitchen proved to be a great success, and was featured in many press articles including the front cover of Bricks and Mortar, and was chosen as a Architectural Digest Great Design Award winner, celebrating what the magazine believes to be truly best -in-class design during the year.
